About the UK-RAS Conference

The annual UK-RAS Conference for PhD and Early-Career Researchers aims to promote quality research, networking, and community building for PhD students and practitioners at the frontier of science and technology in robots and intelligent systems.

This year the conference was held on the 26 August 2022 at Aberystwyth University.

THEME

The UKRAS22 theme was Robotics for Unconstrained Environments presenting insights into three topics across the day:

Robotics outdoors and in hazardous environments
Indoor and assistive robots
Outdoor sensing

PROGRAMME

The UK-RAS Conference for PhD and Early-Career Researchers attracts a large and vibrant research community intent on sharing, exchanging, and exploring the latest developments and new avenues in Robotics and Autonomous Systems.

The conference provides attendees with many opportunities to: establish academic and professional relationships; improve motivation and confidence in presenting research to an international audience;
network with other experts in related research areas; and publish work along with additional presentation opportunities of winning papers to related conferences such as Towards Autonomous Robotics Systems (TAROS).

The programme included Plenary speakers, conference and poster presentations from PhD and early-career researchers, lab tours and demos.
