Eligibility

1. We welcome event proposals from all UK-RAS Network Members and EPSRC-funded hubs.
2. You many include collaborators from outside the UK-RAS Network, but the application must be led by a Network member.
3. There is no limit to the number of event applications.

Terms and Conditions

1. If your event is selected for inclusion in the Robotics Summer Showcase official programme, you agree to use the appropriate logo, branding and design for event images and promotional materials as designated by the UK-RAS Network. The Network will provide high-resolution stock photographs for event materials if the event organisers are not able to / do not wish to provide their own.
2. We will consider applications for new events as well as events that were already being planned, provided they meet the event criteria and are scheduled to occur between the 1st and 30th June 2022.
3. Specific in-kind contributions can be requested for tools or expertise that will enable groups to produce high-quality events. In-kind contributions will be approved at the discretion of the UK-RAS Network; acceptable in-kind contributions include:
   • Relevant / necessary training for staff to deliver the proposed event;
   • Software or subscription services necessary to record, edit, and / or broadcast high quality content (online events only);
   • External professional services in digital media production to ensure consistent, professional content that meets our brand guidelines (online events only);
   • Software or subscription services necessary to manage registrations, attendees or evaluation in a professional and secure way.
4. If your event has already received support through one or more grants, you must declare this if requesting in-kind contributions from the UK-RAS Network.
5. The UK-RAS Network cannot offer funding to cover the costs associated with the proposed event, aside from specifically named in-kind contributions (see 3).

Event Criteria

To be considered for the Summer Showcase official events programme, a proposed event must:

• meet at least one of the following aims:
  • offer Network members the opportunity to showcase their research to other academics in the UK;
  • offer Network members the opportunity to raise their profile with UK stakeholders in industry, government or other stakeholders;
  • engage academics and industry in networking and / or recruitment activities;
  • increase the visibility amongst the RAS community (academia and industry) of early career researchers within the Network.
• have a clearly defined audience (e.g. early career robotics researchers);
• occur between the 1^st and the 30^th June 2022.

To be included in the official press release, events must be submitted before 12:00pm on 04/04/22.
