Abstract:

This paper brief introduces a ray tracing based mapping strategy that gathers the bottom information of an unknown enclosed water pond. This is done by an autonomous underwater vehicle, which equipped with acoustic transducer, performing acoustic Side-scans. The consequence of the mapping is a point cloud data.
