How humans and intelligent robots can work together to explore and work in dangerous environments

The Extreme Robotics Lab specialises in creating robotics for use in extreme environments and situations. This demo will show a remotely controlled vehicle that has its own intelligent control system, which can take control when it is confident it can complete the task, or, if thinks the operator cannot complete the task!  We will also show how we can build a digital version of the vehicle’s environment so that we can explore it safely as a digital twin using a virtual reality headset. Finally, we will use intelligent robotic manipulation algorithms to control a robot arm mounted to the vehicle.
