Using real robots to remotely explore and work in dangerous places where humans can’t go

This live demo will show how technologies developed by the National Centre for Nuclear Robotics can be combined to create real robotic solutions to real world problems. Working with the nuclear industry, NCNR has identified a number of use-case scenarios which are applicable to nuclear decommissioning and other industry sectors. These technologies will show how we can now start to take humans out of dirty, dangerous and dull jobs by working remotely though robotics. NCNR combines experts from 11 UK universities to create a truly interdisciplinary team. We will show how humans and multiple robots can work safely together remotely.
